Current Projects
I always have a bunch of projects in one stage or another. The two I’m focusing on most right now are porting traditional board games from Enginuity Games to an electronic form for the iPhone. My prototypes are in flash. I’m also working on gestural interface innovations for the Wiimote project. For the Wiimote project I built my own IR pen from a Wii-shaped candy dispenser, a Bic pen, a Vishay IR LED, and a momentary button purchased from Radio Shack. Using software downloaded from Boonjin.com I’ve turned my plasma tv into an interactive whiteboard. I can also use my Wiimote to click on buttons, links, manipulate objects/windows, and surf the internet. By turning the wiimote to face me rather than the screen I can manipulate these things in the air using my IR pen 5 feet away from my plasma tv. Plans are shaping up for a finger glove with a thumb activated button and IR tip.
Screens
Icons
These icons were mostly created for EMC, but there are also some icons created for Saba, Meebo, and EFI. My icon style is clean and modern with soft edges and drop shadows. I pay attention to color and try to consider the various places where an icon will be used so that the screen as a whole will be well balanced. I create icons in vector format for perfect scaling then optimize the icon for each size and file type. Check back for iPhone style icons coming soon!
